A blessing in disguise perhaps, being knocked out of European football

Not everyone is going to agree with me, but I’m not unhappy to see us being knocked out of the Europa Conference League.
It means we have to concentrate fully on the domestic scene, and if I’m not mistaken I think that certain people at Celtic are perhaps relieved that we now have to channel all our energy’s into trying to win the remaining Cup and the League. :four_leaf_clover:

Europe was a step too far this season, but we are in a much better position now than we were twelve months ago.

Ange has done great job since he came on board eight months back, the League title and Scottish cup is now the goal and then we can look for improvement in Europe next season.

When AP took over last summer, he took over a shambles and to where we are now it’s like night and day. HH

We were never destined to go anywhere in Europe this season with the state the club was in when Postecoglou came, the squad depth & wantaways & then the injury issues we’ve had have been huge hurdles. Considering we’re on top & haven’t lost in the league since what, October? It’s been masterful at times from Ange.

Has he fielded a questionable side once or twice, yes, but he’s still figuring out the best starting 11, I think we’ve had 12 additions to the squad, a lot of moving parts there, success is not going to happen overnight.

If AP pulls off the domestic treble in his first year, (a rebuilding year) or even the league cup & league double it would be a remarkable achievement, not to even mention the way the team is looking going forward, it is indeed night & day from last season.
Only a moron would argue otherwise.

Big Ange just doesn’t realise that Maeda is useless! He has loads of energy but very little skill. And he’s pushed off the ball regularly. As for Guakamakis, a penalty box striker at best and not a team player., Kyogo is the only one of the 4 Japanese I’d play. The others are nowhere near good enough.,

Cant agree hatate is class

Agree 100% we are better off out of the European third tier…

This is a defining season in so far as the league is concerned with the £40 million Champions League money at stake. This money could impact Celtic/Rangers for years.

Ok we are top of the league. but apart from the Rangers game we have been struggling, I keep hearing the word “resilient” being mentioned and you need more than resilience to win the league…

Missing the extra game on Thursdays surely has to be beneficial.

Exactly my point, we need to regroup now and put Europe behind us and make sure that we don’t allow this European hiccup to affect us as we go forward, I’m sure AP will have told the team not to look back but to look forward because what’s done is done, just forget it and move on.
We now need to put on a good show on Sunday, If the team is fully focused and in tune with each other then we should come through the Hibs game without too much trouble, which then puts the pressure on Rangers again, and we know what they are like when they are under the cosh, they tend to buckle, a win for us and a draw or a loss for them would do me very nicely. :green_heart: :four_leaf_clover:
