Celtic have entered the Scottish Premiership winter break in winning form after comfortably beating St Johnstone 3-1 at McDiarmid Park this afternoon. Despite a lack of atmosphere due to no away fans, as well as a dreadful pitch and depleted squad, Ange Postecoglou’s Bhoys came through the test to pick up a crucial three points.…
What a fantastic December from Celtic. With all the injuries and to only drop two points and win a trophy, wow.
Time for a well earned break.
It looks better now than it did 4 months back, the 3 week break gives them a well earned rest, allows injured players to heal and get new players in.
They need to look at the reason so many players are picking up injuries and sort it out ! you can’t keep pulling ham strings without causing long term damage.
But let’s look on the bright side the future is so bright you will need sunglasses.
Aye get players back to fitness and get squad propped up in transfer window. Hail Hail
Interesting to hear Ange echo big Jock’s remark ‘football without fans is nothing’ in his comments after the game. While others just chisel for their self-interest, Ange thinks of supporters first and football as a spectacle.
Hopefully we can have fans back in numbers after the shutdown.
Much better from Celtic in difficult conditions. A performance from McCarthy that bodes well.
i mentioned here early in the season when Abada was signed lots of the best clips in his compilation of goals came from central areas in Israel. his eye for a goal and getting into good positions was highlighted today i think he is nullified when asked to play on the wing.
It was also good to see Ange use a B team striker today when replacing Kyogo.
Great way to end a very challenging first half of the season. If you consider the 3 draws were all without our lethal Kyogo and if he had started through the middle at Ibrox it might be us who were 6 points clear at the top. That considered it has been a superb effort by Ange and the players,
i cant believe they are looking at our first goal as possible offside today or that the first goal was hand ball on bbc sportscene
Abada would need to have eyes in the back of his head for that to be deliberate hand ball.
Even Faddy questioned it on commentary.
Rangers had a hand ball in there box and a potential last man booking yet neither was reviewed after the highlights.
Tha bias has returned with the arrival of Ange and a Celtic side who are offering a contest.
