Why not got to the top scorer that joined a EPL team and ended up scoring 4 in 60+ matches before going back to the Netherlands. It amazes me that people seem to judge a player on one good season and ignore the previous 8 poor seasons. Now recent season form might continue though there is a significant risk it might not.
The old saying you are only as good as your last game applies here I think.
His best Season came last Season not the previous 8.
If we look at Griffiths his best Season came 5 Seasons ago at Celtic and since then he’s never produced anything like that Season.
Perhaps Giakoumakis has improved with experience and we are now seeing his best years ahead of him?
Time will tell as always.
I would have preferred Henry out of the two but at £2.5m it’s no a massive gamble is it?
