St Johnstone chairman Steve Brown has explained what happened on deadline day with Ali McCann after Celtic fans rued missing out on him. The Northern Irishman looked to be staying with Saints at the start of deadline day. However, come midnight, he was a Preston North End player after securing what was a reported £1.2m…
Accept that Ali is a fine player that will further develop but I’d be surprised if he will get to the McGinn level…
Time will tell.

I was under the impression that James McCarthy was a midfielder…no?
I was thinking much the same. If anyone is losing out here it’s the player…not Celtic. It would be somewhat refreshing to read positive news from all Celtic forums and how we’ve signed 12 players to drive us forward and building for the future, instead of these maybes & what ifs, when you don’t even know if Celtic where interested. It could also be possible that St. Johnstone didn’t want to sell to a rival club, but it won’t make an earth of difference as he’s moved on and so should 67 Hail Hail & other forums. Let’s start getting behind Ange & the team and leave the negativity to the SMSM & other clubs, as they’ll soon find themselves chasing the Hoops as we start on the road to our 3rd 9iar and onto the holy grail of 10iar.
