At the end of the day, Tam Courts was never going to say that Celtic deserved to win or that Dundee United just weren’t good enough to beat Celtic.
As you so rightly pointed out, the stats tell the whole story.
And the most annoying thing from his perspective is that we didn’t even play well, in my opinion we never really got out of second gear.

Tam’s got to justify himself to his employers and support but he’s got this totally wrong. We played well within ourselves and if we needed them we had another 3 or 4 gears to go up. It was the same with Malky McKay saying that the sending off of a Ross County player at the weekend changed the game when his team were already 3-0 down, it was an insane thing to say. I’m not a stats person as I think they can muddy the waters sometimes but in both these cases the stats evidently don’t lie and I think Tam and Malky picked the wrong week to stop sniffing glue.
