I must admit of the 4 Japanese signings I thought Maeda would be the least effective, from the videos I watched when he was rumored to be joining he just looked like a pure sprinter with dodgy finishing & my thought was that the heavy pitches in Scotland might nullify his speed advantage somewhat. I’m glad to be proven wrong. He’s got some heart on him (literally & figuratively), the way he puts himself about is hard for defenders to deal with, he’s starting to find his finishing touch & I don’t even care if most of them seem to come when he’s on his @rse.

As he becomes more accustomed to the Scottish game he’ll increasingly find himself in the right spot at the right time in the box.
He’s already contributed plenty this year, hopefully he finishes the season just as strong.

If you watch the players warm up b4 the games,you will see Maeda and Hatate do extra sprint work as the rest of the team heads up the tunnel, they have done this since day1, 100% work ethic
