Ange Postecoglou aims for new Celtic playmaker in January transfer window

Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou has plans for the January transfer window; chiefly, to bring in another playmaker. The Bhoys have relied heavily upon David Turnbull and Tom Rogic to provide attacking thrust in midfield. With both Ryan Christie and Olivier Ntcham leaving for England in the summer, there aren’t too many options for the Celtic…

I wouldn’t be too quick to blame Christie leaving on the board. The guy simply didn’t want to be there and with his Judy Murray Da filling his head with nonsense believed he was too good for Celtic. He was worse than garbage last season and it will be his regret and not Celtic’s.

As for Luca Connell. I’ve watched him up close a couple of times and think this guy has a lot to offer and a very bright future. However, I would hope that Celtic don’t keep loaning him out to the point that he believes that he will never get a chance at the first team and decide to move on. Time will tell…

It’s all very well talking about an attacking midfielder now that we’ll be without Rogic for a while but what happened to the defensive midfielder we are crying out for? We have other midfielders that can fill in for Rogic but when Callum McGregors out we struggle.
