Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou has acted frostily, speaking to the BBC after the club’s disaster exit to FC Midtjylland in the Champions League. Taking responsibility for the result, Postecoglou had praise for his players. Equally, he wasn’t keen to agree that the result was “catastrophic”, or that anyone was to “blame” for the poor result.…
Sorry Ange we are not blaming you for tonight’s result but you did resemble a sad deflated man in the same mould as some of those imposters made Lennon look and feel on the touchline.
Honestly if i hear again that over rated imposter Eddy is a top striker i will scream.
Remember Rodgers paid 9 million for him when he was younger than our supposed young in experienced defence and i would not give you 2 million for him now.
Who scouted and recruited Anjeti and Barkas and who told Celtic Taylor could replace K.T. When you are 22 at teams like Ajax you are ready to sell on to even bigger clubs so i see only Murray who did well as a youngster not Ralston Welsh or Taylor if they don’t have the game experience in Europe at that age its cause they are not good enough.
and for all you guys who think Soro is the answer his erratic tackling and poor decision making will only bring us sorrow this seaon.
The guy needs time…. He inherited a bag a sh::
His late arrival is not on him.
The mess will take more that one transfer window to fix.
I think he’s got it but …… he needs time.
I like his reaction to all the nonsense, and I don’t blame the board for our exit from CL either. There are many reasons we are where we are in regards to recruitment. First of all we were punked by Eddie Howe. He must’ve been telling our board that he was very interested for them to stick with him for so long. If they’d cut him loose earlier fans would still have said that they weren’t strong enough to get their man. Howe then realises he doesn’t have the guts for the job and the board moved for Ange. That put us behind where we’d liked to have been. Plus Ange had to quarantine, more lost time. Since Ange has been in, the club has been working hard to bring in players - during a pandemic. If it wasn’t for quarantine rules we would’ve had a very exciting new striker/winger, an experienced centre back as well as Abada who played, all brought in during pre season. The transfer window is difficult to do business in early, we’ve known that for many years. The most important thing is to focus on the next game and not let this set back derail our season completely. P.s Ralston played very well last night.
Ralston had his best ever game for Celtic last night but we have not signed any players in the areas of desperate need.
I challenge all Celtic fans who say we don’t need a goalkeeper and 2 full backs or 2 more centre backs who can defend, a centre midfielder who will control the game and a striker who can score goals.
Any Celtic fans whether on the board the coaching staff or the terraces who cant see this know nothing about what Celtic football club is all about.
I agree with all the positions mentioned that need quality signings with high level experience. RB (Ralston may be proving himself to be a decent back up?) one more CB (maybe a loan to cover until Julien is fit) one striker (I think Furuhashi will be a striker for us) one left winger, and most importantly a goal keeper. What I don’t agree with is that there is any particular part of the club which is to blame. I think the blame game will only make things worse. If Furuhashi and Starfeld hit the ground running I think we’ll be in a good place, then maybe David Marshall back to us?
