He’s a class act, and I do hope that after much success in Europe he returns home to coach the Socceroos again or play a role in pushing Football to the front of our busy sporting queue.
What Celtic fans may not understand is how obsessed Australian football fans are. As a minority sport for many years played only by “Sheilas, wogs and poofters”, we are well versed on football from every corner of the globe (check out the classic Australian book by this title, which goes a long way to describe the football landscape that Postcoglou grew up in).
Postecoglou has a great understanding of world football that transcends what can be a myopic European view of the game.
6 months in and I am still super excited about what lays ahead for Celtic and Ange.
