I don’t think the plan was ever to have a settled 11 with the high energy approach?
I think the plan is to have quality in depth for each position so we can rotate and keep whoever is playing performing to the maximum.
He’s been unable to do this with certain players because as he points out ,transfers,injuries and Covid have had an impact most games if not them all at some point.
The days of McGregor putting in 60 games a Season are no longer a thing now under Ange because he knows all to well your luck or the players luck will run out at some point as a late or poor challenge puts them out of action.
Chuck in the hamstring injuries that have had a serious impact and it’s not ideal to expect a settled 11 to go game after game after game.
Ange has had it tough for the first half of the Season as even he would not have envisaged the levels of disruption we have had to cope with.
