Said it at the time when bloggers were wetting their panties at the 4-0 loss to Leverkusen ,Kyogo spurned 4 clear chances on goal that night and we had others too.
It could have as easily finished 4-4 had he in particular been less profligate in front of goal and as a result the score line did not put a fair reflection on the actual game.
I was shot down at the time for suggesting it to the Bloggers but the early signs were there that this side could go toe to toe with a good team.
Ange thankfully doesn’t listen to the noise.
Because the stamping of feet could be heard like a we wean in the sweetie isle at Woolies at hearing the fatal response … “Naw”
The revisionism from some quarters since then has been quite astonishing.
