Ange Postecoglou reaffirms affection for Celtic supporters; details Glasgow experiences

Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou has been greeted with support and warmth from supporters whenever he’s ventured into Glasgow. Having sampled some of the city’s Greek cuisine [Glasgow Times], and even been spotted out and about, he says he’s had nothing but positive greetings from locals. From the stands, the affection has been obvious. Within weeks…

Let’s not be naive! Nice attacking football is what we were brought up on. But we are the only big club in Scotland, have broken records year on year, watched our closest rival die chasing lions, overcome anti-Celtic bias from the media, the SFA, the SPFL, referees, police, government, all hiding behind their own brand of masks, day after day, game after game, season after season!
But while attacking football is the Celtic way, so is winning trophies. Tomorrow we play last season’s most successful club, St. Johnstone who won two of three trophies, and they did it in a way we can relate to! They did it despite every effort by the SFA and SPFL to help their new establishment club win everything.
So we must understand that long term the fans only want trophies!

Let’s hope we keep going and get 3pts on the board this weekend, keep the pressure on and show we can do something this season :four_leaf_clover:

Ange has genuine heart for Celtic and the fans, he wants success and speaks clearly and intelligently, I reckon he has a first side but unlike the man he succeeded he’s smart enough to channel it and give the supporters what they want. The SMSM will hate him in time, they won’t break him. I’m seriously happy to have Ange at Celtic, we should appreciate what we have while we have it
