Agree…… the guy needs time.
I’m not sure the defence will ever be “sorted” with this style.
When you flood 8 players forward when you attack then that leaves 3 in defence. Typically the goalie and 2 centre backs.
When a move breaks down then inevitably you leave yourself open to a counterattack.
The system is high risk high reward which is why we’ve been (and will continue to be) in high scoring games. The cleaver bit is to be scoring more than you concede……
