Ange Postecoglou gave a grown-up and measured response to the Green Brigade protest that delayed today’s match between Celtic and Dundee at Dens Park. A number of supporters threw tennis balls onto the pitch, before displaying a banner which said: “Fans or Higgins? The ball’s in your court, Nicholson.” The banner references the ongoing campaign…
Classy response your backside! It was a typical Ange response of sitting on the fence, playing one side off against the other!
He is a poor spokesperson for the club! The fact is these guys in the gb are damaging our club, both at home and in Europe.
Grow a pair and tell it how it REALLY is!
It’s rare that we get any public figure offering a reasoned and articulate response. Might make some people think again.
Peaceful albeit ‘pain in the erse’ demos are incoming I’d think.
Ange often gives a measured, mature and well thought response. He wants the best for the club but also has the support at heart, can’t help but like the big fella.
Not sure why everyone slagging off the Green Brigade, they bring the noise and atmosphere to Celtic Park and everywhere they go. If all the moaners didn’t renew their season tickets and stopped buying merchandise ( like I have ) because our board don’t give 2 fcuks about the fans maybe protests wouldn’t be needed . I’m no less Celtic through and through as the next Tim but will be ■■■■ on no more by an out of depth board .
They started last week against Livi, that was a very poor decision 30 minutes of almost no support? The balls were better however, it will cost the club more money in fines not bright.
Parkhead is a big enough arena. Plenty of chanters available.
Wouldn’t deny a protest that wasn’t mine if you get me.
Nobody wants Higgings at Celtic Park and We all know we have an Board who are beyond belief but that’s two superb away wins at Easter Road and Budapest yet the players started both Matches with a protest. i think it was terrible to watch Celtic players scramble around collecting tennis balls at a time they just wanted to get on with a job.
Why couldn’t the Green Brigade have held 15 minutes silence at the start of the second half last week or threw the tennis balls on the park at the end of the first half today.
Easy to say there are lots of others in the ground but im sure i saw GB members handing out leaflets asking for support which they got for all fans.
It is time to stop any protest that involves the players.
