Aye but they (Insert gubbed teams name) made them (insert dominant teams name) look better…

Ah the old footballing trope was inevitably rolled out in blog land and unsociable media post Celtic on Saturday in Paradise.
Pure ,beautiful, inventive Angeball was on full show after the 7-0 demolition of Scotlands Cup Double winning St.Johnstone from last Season.
The free flowing Celtic are now hitting the big gears at the most crucial part of any Season and well yer average side just can’t handle it.
Magnificent 7 goal hammerings are not that unusual to Celtic though are they?
Lennon ,Deila and now Big Ange have overseen their own.
And whilst yes St.Johnstone failed to lay a glove on us as we basically passed them off the Park but that doesn’t automatically make them a very poor side because of it.
After all Celtic under Brendan Rodgers were on the receiving end of not just one but two of these momentous score lines as the Spanish and French masters of the art put us to the sword.
We of course were Treble Winners in both Seasons as these events unfolded under the lights in Spain and Le Park des Princes.
No what happened was they were just too good on the night and we despite our own levels were just not good enough to stop it.

St.Johnstones Season of course did not hinge on that result in the big scheme of things but rather it reminded everyone looking on just how good Celtic are at this moment.
Of course it is only natural for some to downplay that fact.

Imagine winning 4-0 and STILL falling behind on GD. Shows how incredible that performance against SJ this victory was.
