BBC journalist Tom English has ripped into Rangers coach Michael Beale whilst making a key Celtic comparison. The Ibrox figure stated in an interview with Rangers TV that they perform better in Europe because it’s more to do with technical ability than the Scottish game. He blamed Scottish football’s long-ball nature for Rangers’ struggles, whilst…

If you look at the condition’s we have had on this run since January and by that I mean weather, pitches and the style in which some (not all sides) play against us it is very evident that we as a side can adapt to whatever is thrown at us.
We also have the added pressure of Officials allowing the more agricultural sides have a free kick at our players without interference from them til’ later in the game.
By which point we have normally secured the win.
Our Club has been used to winning for almost a decade now.
We have players who have been around the a club that long like Brown and Forrest and so that message is transmitted to the new boys coming in.
You are not here to fail is the message from day one, week one.
The fact is and it is a fact they are not the Club they pretend to be ,all they are is a tribute act who have chucked a shed load of money they don’t have at trying to win trophies that they never had.
Sure a couple of them like Davis and McGregor know what winning is about but these guys know that belonged to a different Rangers from a different era.
No matter how they try spin this the reality is all they have to show for their endeavour is a Petrol Cap Cup and a set out Accounts that would make any Business tremble.
They’ve had a good run in Europe because the opposition they have faced have not played that well by their own standards.
Braga were actually mince at home.

Absolutely spot on. Couldn’t have put it any better myself.

They’re undoubtedly better, but which group of players would you rather have? It’s still ours every day of the week!

Beale’s comments are embarrassing and, to be honest, totally dismissive of Celtic’s incredible domestic form which doesn’t get the credit it should from outside parties.
