Can only hope he kicks on before we let him go & he comes into his own for someone else, I fear that’s what’ll happen with him though. He could just be one of these guys that matures a bit later than others. Forrest was a bit the same, all the promise in the world & brilliant flashes but was mid 20’s before he started showing any consistent quality, can remember plenty of fans wanting him gone just a few years back.

Mikey’s taking the ball a yard too close defenders and consequently just running into them. He’s still trying to take them on, but he’s getting too close to unbalance them before a quick shift of feet and/or body leaves them for dead.
It’s too easy for defenders to read and block him when he’s right in their face, hence he always just runs into them like he did several times against Hearts.
When, or rather if, he gets that right, he’ll be a force, but until then we’re half a man down in my opinion.
Time to engage your brain Mikey, before it’s too late.
