Its about who is a true Celtic fan which hopefully all Board members are. Brendan Rogers when he departed said he was a life long fan yet he left when we were on the verge of Celtic history with the treble treble and two huge games approaching.
Now the next versions of Celtic history approach, the quadruple treble and 10 IN A ROW. Surely true Celtic fans will be doing everything possible to not only keep our best players but also to strengthen the squad. The financial results confirm we don`t have to sell!
I think in any other summer it would be understandable for us to cash in on big assets, as we have done for years, but you are right, this is unique history here and we must for once look to the short-term rather than the long-term.
I am a fan of the long-term approach and it has served us well, but we’re in such a strong position that it seems unthinkable we can sell the likes of McGregor - who is on a long contract.
Hopefully the money men think the same way!
