Sigimg Jota permanently is a priority, he’s been immense since coming in, benfica have lost their manager so now would be the time to make our move.

The manager they have in place now was Jotas coach/manager during his youth career though, that made me a little nervous when I read that as he might appeal to Jota to rejoin for the senior side.

Isn’t he the interim manager though ? I certainly share a nervous feeling given their previous relationship. I’d most definitely be wary if he were appointed permanent Benfica boss especially given Jotas start with us !
Hail Hail

I’d love him to sign but, given the level he’s been at, think we might get gazumped….:four_leaf_clover:

Does it matter, the deal is in place, Jota is out player this season with first refusal

I’d hope it’s water tight but is there not a way the player can refuse in this situation? Doesn’t it come down to the player’s willingness to agree to personal terms as the final step?
Genuine question, I don’t know enough about the contracts tbh

He can’t refuse his loan deal but can decide not to come back, but any way I can’t see that happening, he barley got a look in at benfica and yet at Celtic he could be playing European football and winning trophies with the best club in the world, why would he say no. The negativity around this deal is frustrating, stay calm it will happen.
