My earlier post covers this, Craig Beatties penalty was similar and his subsequent celebration was exuberant rather than disrespectful. Its a shame that TV pundits allow their Celtic/Rangers bias to cloud their judgement. (Kris Boyd on Boli Bolingoli?) Also if the panenka doesnt come off how stupid does the player look? And in a Cup Final?
ExactlyJim the Beattie penalty is an absolutely spectacular point to raise. I don’t remember anyone going on about disrespect for that. I think Edouard just has unbelievable belief in himself to pull it off. The likes of McCann are forgetting that he did it against Copenhagen in the Europa League in the last 10 minutes too. He just has this incredible level of confidence to be honest, and I think that showed against Hearts. Many people’s bitterness coming out with this one I think.
