Celtic will be without Giorgos Giakoumakis for even longer, after the striker picked up a calf injury warming up against Raith Rovers. Giakoumakis has already taken his time building match fitness. A shoulder injury sustained while at VVV-Venlo, combined with negotiating a move, meant he had no pre-season to get to grips with life at…
This is terrible news. Firstly for the player himself but more importantly it means we are stuck with Ajeti who is the worst striker we have had in years. I have never seen him play well and had hoped he would be off during the last window if we could have found someone stupid enough to take him. We are desperately short up front and this will bite us big time.
You are so right, I thought he had gone no such luck. Last night I was shouting at him to get on side, he was playing hide and seek behind a Raith Defender. I also told Turnbull to watch out he doesn’t get a nose bleed almost in the box, I think he heard me cause he scored his goal down the other end second half, by what looked like inside the box.
@euan.davidson.Really bad news, when is Kyogo back as we need him so badly. Ajeti is mince with nowt else on the plate, he’s got to be carrying a really bad injury. With no backup striker, we’re pi55h and will get shown up in the European games badly. Ange needs to use one of our other strikers from the youth to give us hope till he’s better.
