Thus was an accident waiting to happen since Lennon left. Two of the 3 names you mentioned in your piece aren’t good enough for the first team. Why is it we can’t identify someone and get them in quickly. With the exception of Furuhashi all transfers take an eternity with us. I am still not convinced that Lawwell isn’t involved and still am not convinced by McKay yet. We are about to blow Champions League money by utter ineptitude at board level. Why are Banker and the other faceless board members still at the club. I hope they get given a message from the 9000 tomorrow.

Same old story with us being no where near ready to hit the champions league qualifiers hard.
In terms of our defence, if Ajer isn’t added at the very last minute, we might struggle through.
If we go 4-4-2 or 4-2-3-1 it would only mean we’d need 2 centre halves. Welsh had enough first team experience last year and Bitton will probably be picked, but I think young Hjelde might be okay in there.
He has Premier League first team experience with Ross County and can only develop with top team action with us.
With what we have in our current squad, we’re just going to have to go with it and hope for the best
