Celtic ultras group The Green Brigade have posted a new video of their pyro and graffiti display in Glasgow to celebrate 15 years together. The group, which over the years has inspired joy, celebrated Celtic, pressured the club, provoked controversy and done major work for charity, has really been going for that long. A clip…

Happy birthday to the Green Brigade, here’s to another 15 years. UTLR :shamrock::shamrock::ireland::ireland::ireland::palestinian_territories::palestinian_territories::palestinian_territories: https://youtu.be/U5mqmfH_000

15 years, over half a million in fines to UEFA. And don’t start with the nonsense about the Green Brigade making up for that with charity fundraising. It’s the full Celtic support that keep donating, again and again, while the weans from the North Curve claim the credit. Get back to me when they stick half a million of their own cash back into the club…

They attend every game, home and away , Scotland and Europe, you don’t think k they are contributing to the club financially?? What Kind of gut rot is that?? I would prefer Celtic park courful and noisy even if it is just the north curve .

Never suggested that they don’t contribute to the club financially. Every supporter who attends, who subscribes to Celtic TV from overseas, who spends in the shop. They all contribute financially. Its not some kind of competition to rank how big a fan you are by how much you spend.
Not every supporter has cost the club over 500K in fines. Every time they incur another fine, they harm Celtic. When they finally grow up, they might realise that…

Celtic have been guilty of not supporting the GB when they were fined, the relationship between Celtic and the larger support has been poor, the GB do a lot.of good maintaining the spirit of the club’s charitable roots. Food drives etc, match the fine for Palestine was a wonderful gesture, I like them.and and I’m grateful they speak up for the support and our club when the boards arrogance and indifference have been damaging

Not disagreeing with any of what you say. The boards attitude to the support is unhealthy and the GB are just one of many groups of fans that maintain the charitable ethos on which the club was founded. I would point out that the Match the Fine total was raised by the whole support to rectify another GB cock-up however you seem to be avoiding the point I’ve made.
They have no accountability and seem to get a kick out of attracting fines. What they don’t seem to understand is that the 500K is not them attacking the board, it punishes the club, and penalises every single Celtic supporter. The 500K is just 500K less that gets spent on the stadium, the facilities, the charity budget, the youth set up.
Either the GB don’t understand this, or they do, but just don’t care.

I don’t think the cock up was the GB, UEFAs refusal to acknowledge a nation’s flag wad disgraceful, the larger Celtic support as well as Irish republicans and large sections of Scots support the Palestinian state in its ongoing oppression by Israel. To fine a club for its support showing solidarity with an oppressed people is.beyond the pale. Yes the Green Brigade have caused the club to be fined but by a highly sensitive and corrupt football organisation, our club was born of a rebel spirit and that still prevails among the support myself included.

Time for all Celtic fans to unite and support the team and players on the park next season
and i would prefer to hear and see 60,000 fans singing and supporting the team from all sides of the ground.
