Do you know how long of a contract he signed? If it wasn’t exorbitant we could possibly get him in a loan to buy deal?

The guy seems to have had multiple chances to join us and has said no at every opportunity.

Looking back to last season when this one first came on the radar, Declan Gallagher would have cost us peanuts and done a job and look what Shaun Rooney did for St. Johnstone.

There’s quality short term fixes right under our nose to get through SPFL fixtures, Shane Duffy should prove to us that English league experience doesn’t make a player good enough to grace our Scottish game :four_leaf_clover:

I think he signed a five-and-a-half-year contract mate so an absolutely massive period on the contract. I’m still a bit sceptical of why Liverpool signed him in the first place…

5.5 years is a very long contract. Wow.

My best guess is they bought him for so little they’ll easily sell him to another EPL team for 10+million.

Plenty of that does indeed go on to be fair. It’s interesting that they’re telling him that he’s going nowhere though. You have to wonder what possible plans they have for a player who’s been given absolutely zero minutes of action this season. Maybe he’ll get pre-season, but he’s never in a million years going to break into the Liverpool first-team.
