I agree with that last tweet- it’s good business. Both Shaw and Joseph are young, promising players, something Celtic have lost a lot of (or are poised to lose) this offseason. You have to have the cupboards stocked with something when a new manager comes in or else we may be faced with a reality of a more comprehensive, time consuming rebuild of the squad. Keeping with the kitchen metaphor, you can’t make a soup without a stock. Other potentially fancier ingredients make up the substance, but the stock is the foundation.

Keeping with the kitchen metaphor: what if you have the kitchen stocked with the wrong ingredients for the new chef? Take, for example, a totally random scenario where you accidently buy a gluten free dough and the guests you’ve invited are vegan but I didn’t know so I’ve already put cheese and pepperoni on it and oh great I’ve ruined supper. Let’s go buy from an expensive European restaurant instead.

That’s a very good point! With the cost of these fellas, could it end up being more like making Kraft Dinner for a friend that has a dairy sensitivity?
It’s a shame about that pizza though.

Prospects a great but we also need players who can go immediately into the team a get results.
