The US loves the Irish (I know Celtic are from Glasgow but hear me out). They hear the word ‘Celtic’ and see the green and they hear Ireland. It helps there’s a huge Irish contingent and history with the club too.
That being the case, the US is a sleeping giant of a soccer nation and we have some genuine talent here: look at all the players in the Bundesliga and in Europe in general. With some good scouting Celtic could tap a big market.
I think it was foolish to let Cameron Harper go (especially as wouldn’t need a work permit).
