Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou comes out shining after whirlwind week

It’s been an absolutely chaotic week at Celtic, and one that could’ve totally blown up in the face of manager Ange Postecoglou. He’s had to deal with Dom McKay, one of his closest allies at the club, leaving Parkhead in a shock move. He’s had to try and integrate four new players from Portugal, England,…

It’s worth pointing out that Ange had a long and distinguished career in the Australian print and TV media as a journalist/analyst/pundit. Furthermore, he had to deal with boardroom shenanigans, factionalised politics and backstabbing at Soccer Australia (now called Football Australia) when he was national youth teams manager. (It can be argued that the dysfunctional governance of Australian football makes Celtic’s governance look world leading).

I thought we weren’t at our free flowing best today, we were slow at moving the ball and one thing we really missed was Kyogo’s movement. I don’t think we looked like the same team without him. It’s interesting that Hamish though CalMac was poor today I thought he was pretty decent. Turnbull and Rogic need to add consistency to their game but Rogic had a fair bit of travelling internationally and David’s still young. I certainly thought it was a 3-0 game anything less would’ve flattered County bu I suppose we all see the game differently.
