Celtic manager Neil Lennon has stated that he’s “sick” of seeing individual errors continuously cost his side in Europe. The Hoops crashed out of the UEFA Champions League last night at the second qualifying round stage. It’s the first time the club has been KO’d at that round in 15 years as Ferencvaros won 2-1…
Its all very well scapegoating one player for an error what about the other errors? What was the goalkeeper doing? At corners who was marking at the edge of the box? What about the powder puff shooting (not by the centre forward we didn`t have one) and ballooning the ball over the bar? !If you win as a team you lose as a team.
Totally agree Jim. Mistakes were happening all over the defence in my view. But the goals we concede are just far too powder puff. We keep shooting ourselves in the foot in Europe and often during times when we’re controlling the game. Elhamed was really good last night up until that moment, but we need our back-line to be switched on and aggressive all throughout the 90 minutes, especially in Europe.
