Celtic set to take bold new media step and it is supporters who will benefit

Celtic contacted various fan media outlets today, including 67 Hail Hail, to put forward new arrangements for access to press conferences and media events. Fan outlets will now have the opportunity to take part in full media conferences, alongside traditional press, on a rotational basis. Two spots in the manager’s press conferences pre and post…

This is great news and very much welcoming. I personally don’t go to the SMSM for my Celtic news, but guilty of reading the hotline for a chuckle. There possibly is however some Celtic forums that need to give it up, as they’re not much better than the SMSM by way of reporting showing no affiliation to the club or just being a stenography rather than a budding journalist. I’m not so naive that I’m looking for everything’s rosy in the garden, but be constructive and if there is a situation when you have to favour a side, then remember that your site has a Celtic title and people who read these posts are mostly Celtic minded. It was sickening last season to see the way some forums jumped all over the manager, players & board and were no better than the red tops or other establishment outlets from which we expect these attacks.

Anyhoo, I’m delighted that Celtic have taken this initiative as I am for 67 Hail Hail to get their chance to have a seat at the table.

PS,
Be on your guard, as you know you’ll have a lot of enemies sitting around you at these meetings, as they know fine well that you and other like you at these meetings could be the beginning of the end, as you won’t be peddling the “towing the line” garbage which we have come to expect from these hacks and their respective rags.

Good Luck and looking forward to your publications🤞
