Celtic should demand fairness from the SFA following Thursday announcement

The dates and times for next month’s Scottish Cup semi-finals were announced on Thursday – with Celtic once again set to play in the latter of the two matches. Neil Lennon’s ‘Quadruple Treble’ hopefuls will take on Aberdeen on Easter Sunday (12th April) at the National Stadium with a 3pm kick-off. :vs: @CelticFC v @AberdeenFC

Dont be silly…that would mean our board sticking up for the fans without any financial incentive…it would be a first

Maybe I’m too cynical or long in the tooth, call it as you like;but does anyone in the Celtic Family really believe that we will EVER get a favourable draw, dates, ties, rulings or any other thing that we can ‘hope for’ from the dreadful sfa?
Coz in my 54 years in observing their doings, they haven’t EVER missed the chance to kick Celtic FC right where it hurts in nearly all of their rulings as regards the aforementioned. This will continue until there is brand new governing body that has replaced the ‘currant’ lot.’ That spelling of ‘currant’ was no mistake as the current lot are looking at life through sevco coloured glasses/lenses and have been since it’s inception.(currant buns)Personally,I hold absolutely no faith in that happening anytime soon.
When rangers died,14th February 2012,(perfect gift for every future Valentines Day) was the perfect time to force that idea into reality, those opportunities are very few and far between!

On this one occasion, I am happier getting the Sunday slot. However, I take the point that the playing surface will be much poorer. Statistics would suggest that getting the second slot is not an accident.

Why is the Edinburgh Derby not being played in… Say… Edinburgh, Murrayfield.
Both games could be played on the Saturday, lunchtime kick off in Edinburgh, at the better stadium.
Then 3pm kick off at the sorry state that is Hampden

Yeah it’s definitely not an accident. We’re seen as the glamour team of the last four and for some reason that often means Sunday games.

It’s hardly the biggest issue in the world but I think it’s something the club should be aware of, and let the SFA know it’s not exactly fair.

Yep, I think the Murrayfield thing worked alright with us last season - albeit forced.

Was a great day of football too with both semis back to back.

Don’t understand why they’re not looking at doing something like that again.
