Originally published at: Celtic supporters should now expect backroom changes after big Ange hint
Now that the transfer window is over, Celtic have the set group of players that Ange Postecoglou will be working with until January. But the hard work of the club doesn’t end there in terms of recruitment and the ‘rebuild’. In fact, Ange has already made it very clear he will be making staff changes.…
Could they bring in a defensive coach who isn’t a lover of zonal marking?
Not being funny but I’ve been watching and playing football for over 4 decades and have never to this very day seen a zone score a goal either with a free header (like Helander at the weekend) or a volley
AP certainly needs help. Our defeats away from home have all lacked any idea on how to defend properly or chase the game when required. Our response to going a goal down last week was shades of last season. Subs come on and the team is effectively weaker! We don’t appear fit against better opposition. I’ll be gutted if he doesn’t change the coaching staff. Dull Kennedy and Strachan are certainly not progressive and it is very apparent lack any real tactical awareness. Until they go I’m afraid there will be little change. The manager needs help to implement his philosophy. He also needs help with fresh ideas during game time which K & S are unable to do. There is now the urgent matter of gelling all the newcomers together, otherwise it was money wasted…He needs a proper team and confidante… ASAP
