Young David needs to learn if in doubt put it out, just like his weak defensive header against Betis that cost us a goal, just put it out & reset……I blame Motherwell

Angeball with this team what a joke …

Take a day off troll

What you need to learn grumpy is Ange needs to learn how to change his tactics until he gets his best 11 out…

Not continuing to play the same system against far better and worse teams…

And still losing against both …

He continues to ask these players to play high tempo roles … gets them tired quickly and consequently errors KEEP !! creeping in …

HH

Talking about Trolls kan du snakke Norske :rofl::+1::+1:

Paul and (Lenny not my favourite by far) but nailed the half ime analysis !!!

Long way back for the ANGEBALL style of play …

Did you see the way Ange missed that chance on the follow up from Jota’s shot? We should’ve subbed Ange off after he tripped over his own feet & cost us the first goal before he had the lapse of concentration in the middle of the park that led to the second. Can’t believe the way Ange spread Covid 19 around the world, Brendan Rogers would’ve never done that

Our backline again, although Turnbull messed up for the first, we should have had something from this game buy outclassed where it matters

GRUMPY… Paul Lambert summed it up perfectly … so sick of hearing could have … should have … would have … THAT ATTITUDE NOT ACCEPTABLE for this club …

But seens that you and Cyanide are related in that losers mentality …

ANGEBALL …:-1::-1::-1::-1::-1:

Ange ball almost had us 1-0 down in 57 seconds, need I wish I could swear on here :face_with_symbols_over_mouth::face_with_symbols_over_mouth::face_with_symbols_over_mouth::face_with_symbols_over_mouth::face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

He is an absolute 2nd rate MANAGER end of …

No wonder he signed a one year rolling contract …

BECAUSE HE WILL BE ROLLING OUT THE DOOR SOONER THAN LATER …

Hopefully you’ll follow him…

As for losers mentality what do you offer that’s any different? A moaning faced git mentality perhaps?

You have nothing but negativity to spread around, you spout a constant stream of criticism but offer no alternative, very easy to just say everything’s s**t & provide no sort of possible solution, if Postecoglou goes as you are so adamant he should & will, who comes in? Gaze into your crystal ball of gloom Jim & fill us all in…oh & remember to put the name of whoever it is in CAPS!!! so we can all revel in your Internet shouty-ness (because that doesn’t make you look like a total bam at all, don’t forget the obligatory use of 20-30 emojis :fist:t2::sweat_drops:)

Go support Leicester, I have the overriding feeling you’re more inclined to support teams in blue….

Listen GRUMPY Liverpool is my EPL TEAM :+1:

You are missing the point yet again…

I have nothing against Ange … we need a reaction … NO S…T SHERLOCK…

His record EVEN in the SPL is abysmal …

He is trying to play KLOP style and trust me perhaps with his BEST 11 he might get to 65 %

But he does NOT … and he continues to play the same ANGEBALL way instead of using another tactic when it is obviously not working …,

0-4 in the EUROPA LEAGUE in the griup stages at home …,

If Ange does NOT change his tactics he will be out …

As for who would proceed him … Great fkn question … HOWE clearly understood why NOT to take the job …,

I would like to see Frank Lampard get it …

There you go Grumpy made your evening … oops just woke up :rofl::-1::-1:

Ange has the talent at his disposal, but if the team is pulling in different directions we won’t get anywhere. This playing out from the back is dreadful, it’s not attractive football when you concede on 57 seconds albeit it was offside. His faith in the Turnbull Rogic partnership is awful, 4 players giving their all isn’t good enough. Losing 4-0 in Europe isn’t good enough, we are lucky we ain’t in the CL, I want Ange to succeed but his grace period is over and he will be judged on results and one win in 5 is not good enough, 8 conceded in the group isn’t good enough and being 6th the league ain’t good enough. Beginning to think back to Mowbray, and the realisation that Ange can’t hack it

He doesn’t have the players he needs to play the style he wants, that’s going to take another 2 Windows most likely. The criticism is valid that he’s not changing his system to suit, he is trying to implement a style & is plowing ahead with that through thick & thin.

Tonight was a hard pill to swallow, if you want to look for negatives you’ll find plenty, that’s true of everything in life though. If you’re looking for positives there’s a couple of little glimmers there, had Kyogo been sharper he could’ve got a couple, had their keeper not had such a good performance it could’ve been closer (not saying we’d of won but it’s be closer), Leverkusen are a better side than us, they’re a CL level team, they’re drilled better & have better players in key areas & they punish weakness the way a top side should.

If you’re signing on for a rebuild (I think we can agree this year is about building & consolidation) this is the sort of disappointing result that we’re going to experience. I just can’t bring myself to be all doom & gloom, we have to stay as positive as we can, I don’t believe the manager is 2nd rate, 2nd rate managers don’t qualify Australia for the World Cup, I don’t care what anyone says to the contrary.

We’ve got such a thin squad that the inevitable injuries & fatigue were going to make life difficult for the manager, getting players to adapt to the system is another challenge, we’re not as bad a side as tonight’s score line suggests, major lapses of concentration cost us, their keeper playing out his skin didn’t aid our cause.

I’m reserving judgement until Sunday, Europe was never going to be the focus this season, the league is what counts & we can still win it, there’s some that seem resigned to raise a white flag already (1 or 2 gleefully so), I’m not going to.

Pretty much what I was going to say Scott. The game plan was exposed tonight but only because we were playing against a much better side who knew how to pick our pockets.

First 2 goals were defensive lapses, their penalty was highly debatable and their fourth was a gift due to our guys being dead on their feet.

Yes we were beaten and yes that is not good for a club like Celtic but we are where we are at the minute and no magic wand can change that. We can’t get new blood in until January so the current squad has to knuckle down and get on with the gelling we so badly need.

We didn’t look all too troubled by Leverkusen tonight and had long spells on the ball not to mention creating numerous chances. As I said before, they picked our pockets with our lapses and I think 4-0 was generous to them.

The wing back area for us is going to be a lot of our undoing I feel. While both fullbacks tuck in to give passing outlets going forward, the centre backs are exposed when the fullbacks get caught up the park. Our fullbacks and wingers need to work on some sort of cover if this system is going to bear any fruit. Both Ralston and Montgomery were done after 75 mins tonight due to playing against better opposition. Hopefully Ange and the coaches can see the shift expected of the fullbacks and will look to develop some sort of cover so we don’t get exposed at the back as much making Starfelt and co the fall guys.

Work in progress for sure, we just have to grin and bear it for now until more strength and depth can be purchased in January :four_leaf_clover:

I was going to mention that before I put my ranty pants on. It seems the wingers need to be facing the ball when the inverted fullbacks tuck in & receive in the middle of the park, the wingers basically need to be coming back towards the ball as if they were the target even though they’re not receiving it so that they’re in motion and moving towards the area the ball is in so they can track back & try to close down a breaking opponent in the event that we turn over the ball in the middle of the park.
There is a big overlap between the attacking defender & the defending attacker in this system, Ralston & Montgomery, Jota & Abada are all young guys who have probably never been asked to even think along those lines thus far in their careers.
