Celtic watch on as referee rescues rivals against Hibs

The gap between Rangers and Celtic in the Scottish Premiership remains at six points at the end of the weekend’s action after the Ibrox side won 2-1 at home to Hibs today. As you know, Ange Postecoglou’s team ground out a tough win away to Aberdeen at Pittodrie this lunchtime. The pressure was then on…

Not so sure if all the pressure was on Slippy, but more so on the Lanarkshire Referee Association, and they very much delivered. The team from Govan have had assistant refereeing for years, and only when we get VAR will the rest of us stop having honest mistakes against us.

Never a red card and not even a foul. The goal also looked decidedly offside, although the camera angles weren’t very good to give a clear view, but Roofe is standing about 5 yards unmarked from the nearest player.

This is not luck, but just down right cheating.

Remember Clancy at ipox rarely have I seen a more biased referee, today was shocking, hibs take the lead then down to 10 soon after?? This is why that club is hated, they can’t win fairly especially with that crap squad they have and no fresh investment, so again they look to the refs to help them. They’re a disgrace

They can’t afford VAR mate and I don’t mean financially. The thing with VAR is, it’s only as good as the person making e decisions translates it. If it’s all left to the Lanarkshire referee association, then we know how shameless they are and won’t expect it to slow them down too much. The only difference then will be that they’re not honest mistakes, but just down right cheating.

We all know exactly what MadHun and Walsh are thinking, but they get away with it.Gerrard and his board complain about children booing one of their players and watch institutionalised bias,in their favour, week in,week out…utterly shameful…

My father in law who is 90 years old tells of the time when games were first broadcast on TV and the positive impact that made on the level of officiating in old firm games.

As we all know we are still left with the “honest mistakes” ( Aye Right)

Although VAR still causes some issues it will absolutely help Celtic….bring it on.

@john.mcginley. How does the VAR work? Do you get the cheating ref to look at all the decisions, or only 3 a game for each team? And as we all ask who will be the honest people on the other end, Dallas and friends?

We could’ve done with it last season? Would’ve given Lennon someone else to blame.
