Chris Sutton knows a Celtic-level striker when he sees on, and Giorgos Giakoumakis is fitting the bill for the Premier League and SPL winner. Greek striker Giakoumakis has come into the team and hit form at a vital time. Without Ajeti, Maeda or Kyogo to call upon right now, the former VVV-Venlo man, and Eredivisie…
The big man has had injuries, that’s a given.
I have been one who shouted him down after his early showings too.
Let’s hope his recent goal trail is the start of something that helps us get the crucial results we need between now and the end of the season.
I would happily eat my hat if the big man notched 25+ goals in all comps this season
Never in any doubt.
You don’t become the top scorer in the Dutch top flight whilst playing for one of the worst teams in the League if you do t have anything about you.
He was hampered by injury and the lack of a pre Season which if you consider he was attempting to break into a high energy side makes it even more difficult.
He was however still making the right runs and turning up in the right areas when the ball dropped as and when he got the chance.
I think too many look at a player Giakoumakis and judge them only on their cameo performances at Celtic.
He wasn’t bought due to cameo appearances in Holland.
