David Turnbull continued to produce the goods for Celtic against Aberdeen tonight, and unsurprisingly he was the toast of the Hoops supporters. Turnbull was the difference-maker at Celtic Park this evening. His howitzer from around 25 yards out flew beyond Aberdeen goalkeeper Joe Lewis and into the bottom corner. It was an absolute screamer from…
He’s probably the only reason worth watching Celtic right now
@john.reid Come on fello Celt, Turnbull is the only reason? Do you not get excited watching Neil ‘Lenny Nine Lifes’ Lennon work his magic from the sidelines, astounding the footballing world, opposition, TV Pundits and fans alike as he redefines what it is to play football with his incredible tactical astuteness and new (never seen before) shapes and formations that have the like of ‘Pep Guardiola’, ‘Jose Mourinho’ and ‘Hans-Dieter Flick’ drooling with professional envy
I think David Turnbull is good at football.
@euan.davidson NO he’s not, Lennon makes him look good, LMAO, aye
I could see Lennon saying some anodyne comment like this.
@david.walton did a spot on Lennon impression earlier, he’s the man for this particular job.
As rightly pointed out today on ACSOM by one of their presenter’s Column,
“Lennon is very happy to take all the praise when things are going right but when things aren’t, he’s just an excuse machine the blames everyone else in order to deflect away from his own inabilities”
What a Player! To think how little we paid for him. Just reads the play so well. Big Tom Rogic has been looking decent recently but no way can he possibly get ahead of Turnbull in that position now, unless with have an incompetent manger
Another win ,another 3 points , another step forward to a contract renewal
Neil and DD are laughing there arses off
DD will tie him up with a long contract, to stop the likes of Barcelona poaching him away.
HH
@Colzzz1888 DD the absentee Land Lord that knows next to nothing about football, who (along with Bankier and Lawwell) can’t help but show his utter disdain and contempt for the Celtic support. The businessman that’s so astute with footballing knowledge, that he is of the opinion that Lennon’s team of absolute 10IAR failures is a better side than ‘Saint Martin O’Neills’ squad, LMAO, as a fan base, this is what we’re dealing with, at board level, we’re surrounded with footballing morons of the highest order.
So as you rightly stated, DD will more than likely, pretend that this abysmal failure of a season didn’t happen (the press made it all up, it was a bad dream) and filled with Lennon’s Narcissist delusions of grandeur, offer him a renewed contract just to stick it to us because, as he would view it, we DARED to have the to cheek and audacity to question the incompetence of Lawwell and his wee ‘YES’ man poodle
See mate that’s my biggest concern. That’s why we continue try to hold the club to account on 67HH and try to continuously focus on the main gripes supporters have. If we allow this winning run to mask some of the more major internal issues then they’ll never be solved! We need to keep the pressure up for genuine summer change, regardless of how much disdain the higher-ups view discontented supporters with.
@david.walton Fello Celt, your spot on with your assessment, this winning run that we’re currently on, if it continues, then it will be used to mask over this abysmal season and it will be used to hand Lennon an extended contract, which he doesn’t deserve.
I’m of the personal opinion (with Celtic being a 'Pal-Act Sh$t Show) that Desmond cares more about Lenny and Lenny’s feelings and reputation than addressing the concerns of the fans. I’m sure Desmond is very well aware that Lennon (through his own egotistically deluded actions and inactions as manager) has burnt his legacy to the ground with most of the Celtic support. So next season, Desmond (in a desperate attempt to save his mate) will throw whatever money Celtic can muster (through sales) at Lennon, to sign players, in the hope that individual brilliance will win back the league, and in turn save Lennon’s reputation with the supporters, which it won’t, the damage has been done, its too little to late, the 10IAR is gone and Lennon is responsible for that, along with Lawwell and a few of the want-away divas that think they are bigger than Celtic
This year the fans have had their eyes opened to Neill Lennon, the Dubai trip (which cost us much-needed points, the 10IAR and put the lives of the players and staff in danger) a trip for which he is fully responsible for (as he stated during an interview) that he was the person that had the final say on whether to go or not and he chose to go. Dubai has exposed Lennon as a self-centred, immoral man, with no self-awareness, he’s a narcissist. As a manager that doesn’t believe in nor practice or implement, ‘Tactics’, ‘Shape and Formations’ and 'In-Depth Match Analysis, he’s got us knocked out of every cup competition we’ve entered and blew the 10IAR, blamed everyone else for those failures and to date he’s shown no regret or remorse or sorrow about it, in fact, he appears to be goating the fans and treating us like mugs on a weekly basis during interviews. Is this the man we want as manager next year, ABSOLUTELY NOT.
I really want to see us succeed in Europe. Lennon is not the right man to lead us there.
@StrangeAttractions Fello Celt, we all desperately want to see Celtic succeed in Europe, for if we succeed in Europe, we succeed domestically. The problem is the board, a bunch of outdated, out of touch with reality, incompetent, deluded, arrogant business-minded old men, that know next to nothing about football or running a well-oiled, streamlined footballing department.
The board have proven over the last decade or so, that they don’t take Europe seriously, why they don’t is beyond me, its mind-bogglingly considering the financial rewards of playing in the ‘Champions League’. The board treat the ‘Champions League’ like a big house party, that if we gain admittance to, great but if we don’t, who cares, we move on. This current failing board has a very limited scope and can’t see beyond marbled staircase of Ibrox, blinded by their obsession of doing just about enough and no more to stay a hairbreadth ahead of Sliipy-G and that short-sightedness has back-fired in spectacular fashion this season and cost us the 10IAR.
Lennon has proven this season that he is not the man to lead us into a new era but the board are filled with so much hatred, so much disdain and contempt for the Celtic supporters that they are going to stick with their deluded narcissist Lennon, just to stick it to us out of pettiness, because, as they see it, we DARED to rise above our station and call them out by questioning their obvious incompetence. There’s a war coming (if it hasn’t already begun) for the heart and soul of the club and it will be a case of who calls whose bluff first, I’m hoping (after everything that’s transpired this season) the the vast majority of my fello Celts stand firm, starve these charlatans of money and force their hand. WE are Celtic, the board aren’t and Lennon isn’t bigger than us our Celtic, it’s a club called Celtic FC NOT Lennon FC.
MUST LISTEN TOO
@TheBhoys88 I wrote a wee response to this article on another thread.
Lennon has made us a worse side and we’ll continue to struggle under him if he stays on.
