David Turnbull watched another Scotland game from the sidelines on Saturday night, and as riveting as it was, you could forgive him for wondering why he wasn’t on the pitch. Indeed, Steve Clarke went with a midfield trio of Callum McGregor, Billy Gilmour, and John McGinn. Wow. It’s fair to say it’s jam-packed with quality.…
just too inconsistant drifts in and out of games and seems to lack concentration, yes he was a good player with Motherwell but does not seem to have got better with a bigger team,he is not alone there have been many players who have been outstanding for provincial clubs but when transfered to a bigger club could not sustain their perfomances.Ball is firmly in his court if he wants to make it with Celtic and the International team his attitude and ability will have to improve.
Turnbull is still developing as a player he needs time.
He’s too naive in Europe for me and resembles Ryan Christie a few years ago running around like a headless chicken chasing shadows.
That’s not to say he won’t become a player who can easily operate at a higher level because I believe he will.
He needs to stop trying too hard and let his ability shine because technically there’s plenty there to build on.
It’s just positional sense and awareness of what’s going on around him that need some work I think.
