Derek McInnes comes off the fence to write off Celtic title chances; we'll see

Former Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes has written off Celtic chances of a league title this season, in a prediction that has the potential to backfire. For me, it’s still far too early to determine who is going to land the Scottish Premiership this season after a cagey start to the campaign and a close-fought derby…

I don’t blame him or any pundit. It’s just conventional wisdom. Like we were predicted to win at the start of last season.

But conventional wisdom was that we’d be in turmoil right now and be a disaster.

Hmmm, funny how things don’t always turnout the way we think.

McInnes? We beat your teams so many times when you were at Aberdeen that I’m surprised Celtic let you out of our trophy cabinet to spout your predictable choice of your favourite new club as probable champions. Our new signings haven’t even played together yet, jeez oh,no wonder you were such a loser…

McInnes could be right we might not win the league this year and then again we might. The main thing is we continue to improve under Ange and hopefully make an impression in the Europa League. Remember it took Gerard 3 years to lift 1 trophy.to give Newco title number 1.

Poor Derek used to always say his Aberdeen team deserved to beat Celtic after nearly every match we played them even when it was not even remotely close.
i just wish he had been brave enough to take the rangers job when offered if they are so good its always nice to prove Derek wrong again. Hail Hail
