Let’s not overlook the fact that the SFA and SPFL will still be our toughest opponent this season.
Refereeing decisions have been shocking.
Expected, but shocking.
Unfortunately the worst part is that not only are the refs making these calls and deliberately ignoring some potentially career ending tackles we have faced already this year, but they do it so openly and arrogantly.
If Mikey Johnston hadn’t hit the ground on the bye line when tackled in the first half, Porteous flew in two feet off the ground and just missed him. The ref didn’t even acknowledge it.
Knowing he was always going to get away with that, he repeated the tackle on McGregor, this time making square contact.
For any ref, no matter how much in the pockets of the new club across the city and the officials at SFA and SPFL, it demonstrated exactly why our game in Scotland is the laughing stock of Europe.
The incompetence and disregard of fair play is embarrassing.
