Andy Walker is hardly a pundit who is universally popular with the Celtic support. Even he’d admit that. Of late though, he’s had some sobering things to say about the running of the club and, perhaps unusually, has called some things spot on. It’s becoming apparent the Sky Sports man may be a better analyst…
Charlie Nicolas (as far as I’m concerned) is another ex-Celt, that for some reason, gets a bad rap from the fans because over the years he has had some sobering words of truth for the Celtic support, but as Nicolas has learnt “Truth is like Poetry And No One Likes Poetry” this is true of a certain large element of the “Faithfully Blind Mafia” don’t like binge reminded that their club isn’t as perfect as they want to believe it is and like all other clubs, it has its flaws that needed addressed from time to time……….Like the season.
I remember during the Martin O’Neill and Gordon Strachan era, when Nicolas was a pundit for Santana and Sky, he spoke as a fan and showed his admiration and love for the club during matches. I remember one behind the scenes clip of him jumping for joy, going bananas during a Champions ledage match, when Celtics ‘Massimo Donati’ stepped up to score a last-minute winner to beat Shakhtar Donetsk. As the Strachan era was coming to an end, he vigorously defended the Celtic support against Lawwell supposed prudent policy of regression on Europe stage, stating “These Fans, The Celtic Support Deserve A Lot Better Value Than They Are Getting For Their Money”.
Charlie Nicolas also called it right about this seasons transfer window when he stated that it was a disastrous transfer window for Celtic and he has been proven right but, as usual, “Faithfully Blind Mafia” stepped in with their guns loaded as this element of the support don’t like a bit of sobering truth

I definitely think there has been a lot of blind faith pandering from fans and some fan media over the last few years.
Everyone needs to call it as they see it, even if it’s an uncomfortable truth or perceived as ‘too negative’.
That’s what we try to do here - we don’t always get it right of course. It would be an easier ride to pretend everything is OK.
Fello Celt, I agree, every club has its different sections of supporters that support the club in their own way and fair enough, that’s just the way it is. Sometimes on the rarest of occasions though, there comes a moment when we as a support base have to come together and act in the long-term interest and betterment of the club.
With life in general, from time to time, we all have to wake-up to and face some uncomfortably, hard-hitting truths that will either make you or break you and I believe Celtic as a club (in what was meant to be the season of seasons, what was meant to be our version 1967) has reached that point, we’re at cross-roads, we’ve reached our exigency. No longer are the fans prepared to sit-back and settle for mediocrity, in just doing just about enough to stay a hairbreadth ahead of the competition domestically, no longer are we going to be lied to by money-grabbing, self-preserving charlatans posing as ‘Celtic Minded Men’, No longer are we going to be taken for granted and treated like mugs, insulted with hateful untrue slurs of “Entitled”, “Dirt”, “Scum” and “A Mob”, we’re the beating heart of Celtic, Lennon isn’t. Lennon isn’t bigger than Celtic but he appears to think he is, goating us week in and week out with his delusions of grandeur. We refused a refund and backed these b%$tards during a global pandemic to help us realise our aspirations of seeing through the 10IAR and all the bragging rights that came with it and what did Lennon and Lawwell do John, they f%$ked it back in our faces.
I’m sick to the back teeth with Lennon and Lawwell, both of them, with their embarrassing and unprofessional stinking attitude towards the 10IAR and us the fans, they’ve both completely f%$k it, for all of us and they’re both now trying to hide behind the quadruple treble (an achievement of which, largely in part belongs to Rodgers, not Lennon). Within 4 months, they’ve reduced a juggernaut of domestic destruction and dominance into a puny, laughingstock of domestic and European football and blamed everyone else for their shit-show, what a cluster-f%$k they’ve created. We want to elevate and take our rightful place once again among the elite of Europe, where we belong, as we once did under O’Neill, after all we’re the club that showed every other club in the so-called British Isles how to do it in the first place and how to do it with style
