Celtic are prepping a January move for Stade Brest’s Dutch international goalkeeper Marco Bizot, according to French outlet Homme du Match. Indeed, the French website believes that the Hoops are looking to take the former AZ Alkmaar goalkeeper in a temporary deal this winter. The report states that this isn’t something that the Ligue 1…

Joe Hart is obviously going to be out #1 for the 3 years of his contract, unless he has a massive collapse or serious injury. For that reason I can’t see any big name keepers coming in when they know they’ll be on the bench more often than not. A cheap but reliable option would be to bring in David Marshall on a short term contract to get you by the rest of this year and possibly next. Because keepers are not substituted often, it’s a very difficult position to fill and keep the 2nd keeper sharp for when he does get called up. We’ve got a couple of young keepers on our books who seem to be doing well, but would depend on how ambitious they are. Bain would happily sit on the Celtic bench for the rest of his career, which is okay, but although he’s not the worst, he’s not the answer for a #1, but could do a job if he had to stand in every now and then. What absolutely needs to happen is to get Barkas off the books. No loan deals. Sell him and accept that you’re most likely going to take a hit. Either way, I’m sure Ange will get it right and keep the progressive charge going back to our place at the top of the table.
