I liked the look of Scales but he strikes me as a bit too slow to play the inverted LB in the Ange system.
I could be wrong and he just needs a run of games. Might be more suited as a LCB

Big GG and Kyogo up too gives defences the same problem that Sutton and Larsson did, I’m all for that. As for scales I want to see more

He does have a loping stride but I think he’s deceptively quick. I remember hearing that Ajer was third fastest in the squad behind Forrest & Frimpong at the time & I couldn’t believe it but these big long legged lads can shift.

That’s a really good point about Ajer. He was certainly faster than you’d think.
I’d like to see Scales get more game time in Europe as I think Ange will stick with Boli in the League.
