He isn't the same player right know

Adam Idah was brilliant when he came to us on loan, but this season for some reason he has been less than brilliant in front of goal.
There could be many reasons for this of course, including bad service or lack of confidence or even something other than football.
But It’s certainly a worry when we only have two recognised strikers, because if Kyogo gets injured we need a striker who is prolific in front of goal.
I know we have a lot of players in the team who can and are scoring, which is great, but in my opinion the issue needs addressing by BR asap.

On Adam Idah, my opinion is that his lack of goal scoring primarily is down to lack of consistent game time.

I think the same can be said of Kyogo as well.

Both aren’t being allowed long enough in the first 11 to form those working bonds and gameplays with their surrounding team mates.

It seems to be they are given the chance up front but if they don’t score 1 or more goals in a game then the other gets a start next game?

I know squad rotation over a season is vital to keep everyone at the top of their game in the quest to win titles, but it doesn’t seem to be effective for our 2 strikers at the minute.

Perhaps if our tactics changed a bit during games, i.e. when winning a match comfortably, why not go 4-4-2 and give both strikers a go playing off each other?

I think shopping for a new striker would dent the confidence of our current 2 rather than push them to try a bit harder? If Johnny Kenny is back now, I’d like to perhaps see him come into the mix as a third option. He’s done well in the domestic division he’s been playing in not to mention Europe. I’m thinking that’s perhaps what Rodgers may do?

I can see where you’re coming from regarding game time, but if you cast your mind back to when he was on loan last season, his game time was also limited, perhaps not to the same extent it is now, but nevertheless during the loan period it was Kyogo who started most of the games.
Last season when Idah came on as a sub he was very affective and managed to score some very important goals for us without too much problem.
It doesn’t help BR in his selection when he picks him to start, and he doesn’t score, what does he do for the next game?
BR Then has a very difficult decision to make, does he start Idah or Kyogo?
Who would want to be in his shoes? Not me, that’s for sure.
