As performance issues at Celtic start to concern the supporters, now would be the perfect time to see whether Yosuke Ideguchi can bring something different to the Hoops. Ideguchi was one of 3 January signings from the J-League. However, despite the regular game-time for Daizen Maeda and Reo Hatate respectively, it’s been a different story…
I thought he was brought in as a more defensive mid rather than a box to box?
Reports indicated he might be the best out of the 4 signed?
We’ll never know exactly what type of player he is until he gets a run in the team. I’d like to see him and O’Riley start tomorrow night. GG needs to be back upfront too IMHO. It would be good to see Julien get a start or at least a half to begin to get him truly match fit for the run in.
Hail Hail
For me Matt O’Riley should start and Liam Scales at left back to add a bit of height in that area, he also has a goal in him.
My god guys if we are going through a crisis because our performance levels have failed to get free flowing football in the past few weeks i don’t know what last season was with the prima donnas we had wearing Celtic strips and embarrassing the club then pissing off to pastures new.
Going to some games the past few weeks the weather has been dreadful strong winds must be the worst conditions to play in and February brought us 8 matches.
This squad has been honest and worked so hard to get to where they are despite injuries hammering us in vital areas.
We would all have taken where we sit at this moment in a transitional season.
Hatate and O riley have done great and Cal is playing with a mask on.
Lets get behind the team and help them achieve a title we didn’t expect.
Lets hope Ideguchi is top quality. McCarthy should be in though. Bitton looked a squad player out of his depth in Norway. Ange has got to forget the personal stuff and plat McCarthy. I know he can give a good free kick but i do not think O’Riley is good enough right now and in Europe he looks out of his depth. Rogic has gone off the boil. Tom sometimes will and sometimes won’t. I do think though that James McCarthy has been overlooked.
