It worked in the Ukraine and Russia. They both had multiple winners of the uefa cup during a summer season. Being up and running during the qualifiers would give Celtic a better chance of reaching the groups and ending the season at the end of November wouldn’t affect the group stage games too much. Plus we’d be fresher during the knock outs.
