New manager, new players, new footballing philosophy, same backroom staff, board upheaval, disaster last season… what did we expect ? Consistency from the off ? That was never going to be the case. I’d already written this season off , as the minimum transition period required. I’ve seen enough to make me confident that Ange will get it right. He desperately needs his own backroom team around him, and for the Board to get it’s act together ASAP. Let the media do their worst, we just need to ignore them, not hard to do ! Get behind the manager, enjoy the highs and wait for the consistency to follow, which it will.

And speaking after yesterday’s latest defeat, the Englishman believes there is still strong togetherness within the dressing room. I’m sure that’s what was said with Lennon last season? But then again the togetherness in the dressing room was Lennon screaming at them. And picking who he would throw under the bus? As people would say.
