At 34, Celtic goalkeeper Joe Hart thought he’d seen it and done it all. 75 caps for England. 2 Premier Leagues, 2 English League Cups and and an FA Cup. Adverts, endorsements, acclaim. Having played in two World Cups and two European Championships, Hart’s struggles over the last few years led many to wonder if…

To be fair, not looking to ruffle feathers, but our rivals over the city done the same with their first choice keeper.

Give a quality keeper a good run of games and the no.1 assurance, it should bear fruit.

Keepers these days are playing long into their careers, I hope Joe keeps up his levels and stays our no.1 for a long time and becomes a legend🍀

McGregor has been the key signing over there and much of what has been achieved by them has been done so as a result of his performances and especially in games where the margins between winning and losing were tightest.
I never doubted that Hart would bring a similar level of impact to this side same as I never doubted Gordon would do the same at Hearts.
Why we let him go is still a head scratcher to me
I would like to see McCarthy have a similar impact with both his experience and the levels he’s reached previously elsewhere but it seems injuries might play a major part on whether that comes to fruition?
One player I wouldn’t mid us going in for would be Wanyama who I think is wasted over there playing at a level below where he is at at this stage of his career.
I reckon we would get a good 3/5 years out of him at a consistent high standard.

I’ve also been put off your comments with the constant regista chat. We all know what different positions roles are in football.:rofl:
I do love the idea of getting big Victor back however, especially if we got the version we had ten years ago. I didn’t realise he was stateside now. I just checked his salary and he’s on the equivalent of £42K per week so probably a bit out of our price range but not too far.
