The only similarities the current huns have with the Lisbon Lions is that both sides had old goalies.
The Lions had a team of 11 Scottish players - the huns have 2 scots players
The Lions won a trophy for Champions beating league winners from Switzerland France Yugoslavia and Czechoslovakia and 3 times Italian winners - the huns went out in the preliminary rounds of this cup to the Swedish champs.
The Lions wont 4 other Scottish trophies than season - the huns have failed to beat the current hoops in the last 4 matches over 90 minutes.
If the huns do go on to beat the team currently 11th in the German league in the final it will still not be even as good as their 1972 side who beat better sides to in in Barcelona.

The Huns are no where near the Lisbon Lions, Nine titles in a row, Scottish, League and Glasgow cup, European cup making us the Champions of Europe, the first British side to win that trophy, European Cup final in 1970 after destroying Leeds Utd in the semi, semi final against Inter Milan in 1972.

Frankfurts current league position is a little misleading, they have been resting players in league games to keep their powder dry for the EL games for months now, they knew they were very unlikely to make top 4 CL qualification from the Bundesliga so have thrown all their eggs into that basket, similar to what the Sevvies have done of late.
Frankfurt have a very good record in the EL over the last 3 or 4 seasons I believe too, I think they’ve made it to the quarters & semis pretty regularly. This is their trophy to lose.

Will Frankfurt win the champions league next season ? …Porto did and it took extra time to beat our Seville side who would have wiped the floor with this Rangers side and only Henrik would have got in the Lions team.
