One of my least favourite things to do, when writing about Celtic, is talking down Leigh Griffiths. Yes, he’s at the very least a controversial character. He’s made mistakes, particularly prior to joining Celtic. But while at the club, he’s been both a revelation and a frustration. To his credit, he’s one of few professional…
Would love Leigh to remain at the club and revitalise his Celtic career, i hope his hard work is exactly with that in mind but the cynics out there might suggest he may have an ulterior motive,ie winning a move to his boyhood club Hibs or a link up with Broonie at Aberdeen.
If he has his heart set on a move to Hibs then some sort of player/cash deal involving Kevin Nisbet would be good business, although a strike partnership of both i’m sure would excite the support of both clubs tbh.
I don’t think that should happen, 16/18 goals in one season and only one season 24 years old. Oh, but playing for Scotland? And scores for Scotland? There’s got to be better than him, for around the price Hibs will be asking after Euro 2020 if he does well. In the world of football.
A fully fit and motivated Griffiths can be devastating striker capable of scoring goals anywhere!
I agree: I just think that he’s never going to be fully fit.
I cannot understand how a “professional” footballer cannot be fit, EVER?
Most common guys go out to work on 8-12 hour shifts umpteen times a week, these guys “train” for part of the morning in a game we all love playing in our spare time.
How Leigh Griffiths cannot be deemed fit is beyond belief. Best finisher we have and has showed it numerous times, why can’t he hold down a first team gig?
