It’s hard not to feel sorry for Neil Lennon tonight. His second Celtic project appears to be in the dirt and we reckon it won’t be long until the club decides to step in and say cheerio. As much as that could spark a Bhoys revival, this is still a club legend and icon we…
Hi John, this is my second reading on Neil again done by yourself. Yes you are right it was wrong of the supporters going to Paradise to protest, however, how else could they get heard Twitter and all the rest are of no use the voice works for me. It’s not as if we can walkout during a game, or in some cases like the players not turn up? The annoying thing is they still get paid for not playing the way they should.
What we witnessed today John at Celtic park has been coming for weeks. Peter Lawells silence this past month has been very unfortunate. Letting Neil face the media by himself has been at best arrogant or at worse cowardly. Peter should be out front on camera with Neil explaining why they feel no need for change. With regards to the players yes they have been poor but their performances have been regressing for well over a year now I believe Damian Duff papered over the cracks last season. Many of our players come from overseas and probably never knew who Neil Lennon was and Neill coming from a different generation of footballers does not help. When professional players sign contracts they expect to be given proper technical coaching and when they think they are being sold short in that coaching they normally down tools.
Stepheneob1, they are doing the exact same training as Brenda got them doing. It could be the training is too intense for some of the new guys, however, most of the team don’t give a poo. And that’s almost 100% of them in my view, Sunday was really so bad even Callum never tried when he came on?
It’s obvious they dont rate Neil and Peter Lawells coaching staff. You have to give NL some sympathy being stuck with a backroom staff not of his choosing but he knew that when offered job 2and time around . I think NL will resign after cup final just hope we win our 2 league games before it.
Ditto on the games b4, and the cup final. I have always been a Lennon supporter, but the recent results and players not trying has pushed me on to the side of the 67 Hail Hail guys. However, I could never see the two ex Cabbages lose to the Vegetables. I pray they go on a win every game to win the 10, but like age I say it’s only a number.
Totally agree TiMod. It’s only us celtic and rangers fans who overblow importance of 10iar. It would be great to achieve it but not by nastiness or insults to celtic staff. Neil as a footballer had few peers in his position but he has been very lucky being in right place at right time twice for a man of his managerial ability. Who knows what next 6 months has in store for us.
Stepheneob1, I will keep looking upward when I pray at night.
As the Boss would say, No Retreat baby No Surrender, and no not in a hun way
