Michael Stewart tells it like it is as Celtic lose at Livingston

Michael Stewart has called out the start to the season from Celtic as he labelled the Hoops’ form “extremely poor”. Celtic lost their third Premiership game out of six this season at Livingston. The 1-0 loss at the Tony Macaroni Arena saw Ange Postecoglou slip where Brendan Rodgers and Neil Lennon did before him. However,…

Really poor result and this needs to change.

But let’s not forget the bag of sh** the manager had to pick up.

The fix will obviously take time.

Betis could afford to make 8 changes to their team which played the previous Monday. We couldn’t even name a forward amongst the subs. That’s what the manager’s up against.

I’ve read “ the honeymoon period is over “ in about 10 different articles by about 10 different writers in the last half hour. This failure to come with something original must end and a lack of squad numbers is no excuse. The choice of surface to write on is no excuse either others have succeeded on the same surface. You owe your readers a better performance in your next article.

There’s no getting away from it that it was a poor performance today. However, just 8 weeks ago everyone was saying how massive a job Ange has and hat it’ll take him 2, 3, possibly even 4 windows to make up for the mess his predecessors left him. Now we find ourselves 6 league games in and we’re getting the honeymoon is over patter, along with a sense of entitlement of how can it be at all possible that we’re not 6-9 points in front at the top of the league and showing the way in the Europa also.

Take a day off guys and leave that garbage for the MSM. They feed on this to stir the pot and fill column spaces. As a forum and a Celtic one at that, you don’t have to sink to their levels.

It was a disappointing performance & result, but this can’t all be laid on Ange. You might’ve noticed that he’s been extremely busy since he walked in the door, doing the job of a Manager, a Coach, a Senior Scout, a Director of Football, and all through this he has spoken with dignity, honesty and given us a sense of worth and hope which has been missing for 15 months or so.

Get off the guys back, and give him our support & loyalty like Ange has given us and leave the weekly report cards to the red tops and the self opinionated hacks on the radio still trying to keep themselves relevant.
